At the university shop, we often machine parts for our Formula SAE team, but this forward steering upright was the most complex I’ve ever made. With tight bearing tolerances and intricate 3D surfaces, it pushed my skills to the limit and required me to learn new machining techniques. By the end, over 95% of the material was turned into chips, leaving behind a lightweight, high-precision component ready for the track. A true test of precision and craftsmanship!
