Project Details
A new part for us that presented a few challenges. Tall profiles, deep bores and several on angle setups. Material started as a round 8620 billet weighing in at 93 pounds. We utilized plunge milling to remove the bulk of the material as it made for the fastest MRR with this tall profile. Finished the profile with a variety of indexable tools and made a few special fixtures along the way to get this batch of 16 parts out the door.
