Project Details

Made from 304SS and Tellurium Copper, this is the next installment of our chess themed spinning tops. As of now, we have the King and Bishop tops made as well. The pawn is .98" in diameter and will spin over 10 minutes on a concave glass spin base. I programmed this all by hand (no cad) on our Mazak QTU250M. Features a 1/8" carbide bearing ball for the contact point. 3 operations total. All features must be running true to center within .0003" in order for it to spin perfectly true with no visible shake or wobble. Double ball grip features raises bolsters every 120 degrees.
