Bob Vawter

I made an ice press for my friend's event space inspired by the recent video. This design incorporates the logo into the mold by projecting it onto an offset surface and adding a loft with a draft angle. The reverse side has a flat bottom so the ice will sit logo-side-up in a glass. Mostly 3-axis work, with some simultaneous 5-axis toolpaths to create the grip surfaces. Aluminum, tumbled, polished, w/ laser-polished logo. Off-the-shelf 18-8 dowel pins.
