This was quite a tricky component because the end faces had to be within 0.05mm parallelism, and the bores had to be in line too. Being made out of mild steel there was a lot of distortion once it was roughed out, so the best method I found was to rough one side, flip, rough the other side, and then finish both sides. I made a Mitee-Bite fixture so I could skim both end faces at the same to ensure they are parallel.
